Tips on how to use Tastemakers Africa for planning a trip to Africa. Choose from a group trip to one of eight African destinations, build your own trip with unique experiences hosted by local insiders, or work with Tastemakers as a travel agent or business looking to go deeper.

If you've landed here, it's because Africa is calling and you want to have a meaningful, authentic, and quite possibly LIT trip. You might not be ready to book a flight yet (especially with COVID-19 still moving heavily) but you may be trying to scratch the itch of curiosity you have. You're in the right place.

Tastemakers has a track record of providing some of the most epic experiences on the continent. I don't say that to brag but I say that to say we are entrenched in doing the work of bringing Africa travel mainstream, working with tour guides, freelancers, and creative entrepreneurs to create the kind of experiences that leave you connected and the communities we work with in a better place, and we've been doing this for nearly five years.

That said - if this is your first time on our site here's a little cheat sheet to help you explore:

Join A Group Trip

If you're looking to join a group trip - whether you're a solo traveler or a group of friends/family - head on over to our group travel page to check out group trips to Africa. In 2021 we're heading to Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Zanzibar - we've got a few more destinations in the works (some you can even build on to an existing trip!).

Build Your Own Trip With Unique Tours and Experiences

If you're more of a DIY, go at my own pace kind of person looking for more flexibility - check out our unique day tours and experiences. We've handpicked our community of "curators" - people with expert knowledge and inside access to the types of things that make an experience memorable forever. Experiences are as short as two hours and as long as 12 depending on the agenda. You can check experience ratings, see customer reviews, and even message your curator directly if you've got some special requests or dietary concerns. Right now you can book experiences in Ghana, Senegal, and South Africa - we'd like to expand here so if you know someone that's doing something incredible, especially related to the black traveler experience - please do let us know.

Earn Money While Planning Something Epic For Your Clients

Finally, for travel agents and group trip organizers - we got you. If you'd like to add Tastemakers Experiences to a trip you're planning for clients or need some extra help in understanding what's possible in an African destination - we're always down to support. Hit us up with questions you have or to learn more about commissions and referral opportunities.

Traveling to (or through) Africa is one of the most fulfilling experiences. Our goal is to make sure you leave full to the brim with something that goes beyond the trip and speaks to your soul. We seek to create genuine exchange, connectivity, and impact in every destination we serve. We're happy to have you here.

That's it, that's the post. If you have any questions the DM's, chat, and inbox are always open.
