Tips for Traveling to Accra
If you’re traveling from the US you’ll need to get a visa in advance. Those coming from around the region are covered by regional alliances or can get a visa on arrival. Everyone needs a yellow fever card. Uber works in Accra though it can be frustrating, GPS isn’t always accurate and drivers prefer cash payments. Plan ahead for traffic, it can derail your day. You’ll need to carry cash as most local vendors either don’t take cards or don’t want the fees. ATM’s are centralized so you’ll find most bunched together in busy district like Osu, Airport, and Labone.
