The travel and tourism industry globally is facing one of the biggest downturns of our time. In Africa, these issues are compounded by an industry just beginning to see growth beyond the typical “safari” narrative.
Traditional artistsans, creatives, and independent tour guides will be left out of government interventions that’ll keep large operators and hotels afloat. These small SME’s - the bedrock of authentic, connected experiences - must be supported and protected in this crisis. This fund is for them.
Here’s What the Fund Provides
One time $500 grants to support basic needs i.e food, shelter, clothing, access to medicine and treatment.
From marketing to digital to budget forecasting, we’re equpping experience providers with tools to win post-COVID.
We’ll be working with tourism boards and others to increase understanding of informal tourism and better support.
